Fault-proof measurement of oxygen

J. Dittrich Elektronic's oxygen measuring systems determine the oxygen content in gas mixtures, monitor their own function during operation, signal malfunctions in the hardware and sensor, can be calibrated without personnel or reference gas in atmospheric air and, hence, are fault-proof.
  • A second oxygen sensor is not necessary!
The oxygen measuring system MF010-O is the first such system to obtain positive certification of its fault-proofness from the Technical Inspectorate of Southern Germany (TÜV).

Dynamic oxygen measuring

The central element of J. Dittrich Elektronic's oxgen measuring systems is a dynamic oxygen sensor based on zirconium dioxide (ZrO2).
  • The measuring process is linear in a measuring range from 0.1 to 100% by volume oxygen.
  • It is based on dynamic reactions on two zirconium dioxide discs, which form a hermetically sealed chamber.
  • Since no chemical substances are used, dynamic oxygen sensors exhibit a significantly longer service life than electrochemical sensors.
  • The oxygen measuring systems developed by J. Dittrich Elektronic determine the oxygen partial pressure since they measure the oxygen concentration directly in the gas mixture.
  • Therefore, they detect the absolute oxygen content - contrary to a lambda probe, which measures the relative content!
  • The measured values are output via an analog and a digital channel, with the latter also providing any error messages.
  • The analog channel is available as a current (4-20 mA) or voltage output (0-10 V).
  • The measured values are evaluated and processed further in subsequent devices according to the specifications of the user.
  • Standard measuring range: from 0.1 to 25% by vol. oxygen; from 0.1 to 100% by vol. oxygen, upon request.

Application-based measurement of oxygen

The oxygen measuring systems are designed in such a way that they cover as broad a range of applications as possible and are still particularly suitable for certain applications in view of the equipment design:
  • Automatic control of furnaces:
    MF010-O, MF010-O-LC, MF420-O and MF420-O-Micro
  • Areas that are not easily accessible, closed systems:
    MF010-O-LC
  • Compost formation pits:
    MF420-O-M
  • Indoor air monitoring:
    MF420-O-Zr
  • OEM:
    MF420-O-Micro
