Explosion protection in industrial applicationsIf there is an effective source of ignition, flammable gases and vapors in an air mixture will explode when a certain concentration, the so-called lower explosive limit (LEL), is reached.
With the gas indicator systems made by J. Dittrich Elektronic, you can detect a threat of explosion in time, enabling you to take suitable personal protection measures. | | | | | With the help of a pellistor, semi-conductor or infrared sensor, the gas measuring systems MF420-H, MF420-P and MF420-IR determine the percentage of LEL that has been reached. Then this measured value is supplied to the self-monitoring, freely programmable limit monitor.
- Measurable explosive gases and vapors:
Methane (CH4), hydrogen (H2), propane (C3H8), alcohol, benzine; other hydrocarbons on request.
| | | | | The limit monitor continuously displays the measured values. Starting from a certain threshold, it will trigger a visual and, if necessary, acoustic max. 4-stage alarm. The alarm can initiate suitable protective measures, such as automatic ventilation, cutting off of the gas line or switching off the system, through downstream devices. Up to max. 6 gas measuring systems can be connected to a limit monitor.
- Programmable limit monitors:
GWZ-S2, GWZ-S4 and GWZ-S6 | | | | | The gas measuring system MF420-P is available in an explosion-proof design on request. EC Type Examination Certificate in accordance with Directive 94/9/EC (ATEX100a) with certificate:

Low-cost infrared measuring system for methaneSince semi-conductors and pellistors exhibit cross-sensitivity, we have developed a new type of infrared measuring system - MF420-IR - specifically for methane. This new system measures significantly quicker, more accurately and at less cost than conventional infrared systems.
